Trances Arc came over to talk with us and play some acoustic tracks for us. We also talk about Bon Iver, a release we’ve been waiting ages to review. Look for the four songs Trances Arc recorded at our studio on our website. They’ll be up within the day.

Songs played on the show:

  1. Skinny Love - Bon Iver [buy album]
  2. Piece of Mind - Trances Arc
  3. Life in Stereo - Trances Arc
  4. Cold as Ice - Atlas Sound

We’re really proud of this episode. If you haven’t gotten a chance to listen yet this is definitely a good place to start.

Bon Iver =/= “Good Speller” in french.

It is an intentionally botched spelling of bon hiver which means “Good Winter”.

I think we can both agree that Good Winter makes far more contextual sense.

Bradley believed he read this in an interview with Justin Vernon, but after doing a bit of research I think you are correct.

We’ll try to make a retraction next episode.

Catching up episode wise today.

Loved the track by Bon Iver so much, I downloaded the album. Awesomeness!

Trances Arc also cool. I’ll probably end up adding that purchase once I’ve had some get to know you time with Bon Iver.

I already got Peanut Butter Disco ep on recommendation a few days ago. If I get too much new at once, I won’t really appreciate it properly.

Keep up the new musical introductions!

And thanks for the photo comment - wish my travels were my life, but they are what sustains me. :-)

Later!
